84 corvette not shifting into 3rd
I have this 84 corvette with a 700r4 automatic tranny. It shifts into park, reverse, nuetral ,1st and 2nd fine. I was driving it for about 15 minutes perfectly fine then it wouldn't shift into 3rd. It acts like it's in nuetral until i press more on the throttle then goes into overdrive. Haven't had the chance to check the fluids, tv cable, or governor. But my guess is it's mechanical, but I'm hoping its not. Any advice or knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Silly question, but have you been manually shifting gears when you drive it? You said you were driving along and it then it wouldn't shift in to 3rd? Do you mean it didn't/wouldn't upshift when it was supposed to?
