My rh headlight motor has been acting up. Previous owner told me they were redone about 5 years ago, but sometimes it would work, sometimes not. Got a great deal on a reman unit and decided to just replace the whole motor since it had been redone before. Works good now so far. This is what I found when I cracked open the old motor. trip and bushings dissolve to powder, but haven't heard about a gear actually cracking. This one is actually cracked in 3 places; the other two are hairline. Sort of explains the intermittent operation. Figure I may order a bronze gear kit, and just fix it and keep it for a spare.
