So I finally got my car back on the road, has been sitting for a while and ended up needing new head gaskets. The car runs great except that after driving for normally about ten minutes the LCD and warning lights flash and then go out. The car continues to run fine and once I park for twenty minutes or so the LCD works until my next ten minute drive. I can hear something clicking in the passenger side of the dash when the LCD does its thing, which BTW includes the interior lights. It seems like a possible cold solder somewhere, once it heats up it loses connection. Any thoughts?
One more question, am I correct in that the CCM (also called the body control module) is located behind the stereo? When
the LCD and warning lights flash I hear a clicking sound from the area behind the stereo / passenger dashboard area. That
would certainly point to an issue in the connection between the dashboard and CCM or the CCM itself. Once I get it apart
I will post the results, maybe it will help someone else in the future.
