1994 Dash Pad Removal
I'm new to the forum & have tried searching for information on removing the dash pad, but can only find vague instructions on how to do it. I need to fix my tone generator module & have found plenty of information on troubleshooting the module, but I need to be able to get to it. I've even searched on YouTube, but none of the videos are 1994 (or close to it). I do have the 1994 service manuals that came with the car, but trying to navigate through it to find out what to do is mind-blowing for a novice like myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know what you mean about the FSM. Went through the same thing when I did the heater core on my 92. I ended up sitting down with the FSM and flipping pages and writing down the steps in a word document. That way I had all the steps in one page. I think the instructions are close between 92 and 94. biggest difference would be your 94 has an Airbag where I have a glove box.
You only need the portion titled "Remove instrument panel upper trim pad (section 8C-22)"
And yes you really do have to remove the shifter **** to remove the dash pad.
