Default Kaminari

I have a Kaminari front bumper for my C4. Wondering if any members on here own a Kaminari, and could help me with information.

The bumper has side markers (which I believe to be from a 1993 bmw 3 series).

The running lights/fog lights for the front: I can’t figure out. If anyone could shed light onto what lights I need, that would be great.

Example of a Kaminari:

This kit was advertised in 1989--thus your BMW 3 Series is not correct. In fact, all the exterior lighting on the Kaminari kit is GM parts( EDIT: See below for explanation). As for the front lights, those are from the 1989-1992 Geo Prizm, but flipped upside-down and reversed (left on right side, right on left side).

At least that's what it looks like. There was a guy who had one of these who posted in May 2020 about this kit. He claims all the lights are GM, but never got around to checking the part numbers. Here's his thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-body-kiy.html

EDIT: While the guy in the above thread insists they're GM parts (which is why I figured it should be the Geo Prizm), the lights sure do look like 1988 Honda CRX corner lamps. I've posted some images below for your reference.

I am impressed with the quality of your response. Thank you so much, I was much more concerned about sourcing the lower lights, as the top ones would be much easier to replicate.

The guy who sold me the bumper said late 80s bmw, but my bmw image search showed the early 90s corner lights to be more similar. Perhaps I’m not aware of the nuances between convertible, coupe and sport models of bmw. Basically E30 Generation.

He used to install these kits back in the day, a s has pictures to back his claim as he was a local legend in South Florida. However that was 25 years ago, so maybe his memory is off.

Hey, no problem. I don't have any experience with the kit personally, and while the company itself is local to me, they claim they destroyed all the molds and don't know anything about it anymore. So I don't think I could help in that respect. I just searched around to see what corner lights looked the part based on the era the kit was developed. There's an advert for the kit in a Corvette magazine in 1989, so the parts used cannot be newer than 1989.

I saw you posted asking the other guy about his lights. Hopefully he gets back to you!

Looks like we may get somewhere. I truly thought this would be a shot in the dark, but thanks to this forum we might make headway. I can’t wait to get the bumper on my car.

I also have a set of “GT2000” side skirts for a C4 Corvette. I can’t find any history on those either.
