Ok, I know there were 6359 (I think) '96 Vettes produced with the LT4 engine. And, 1000 of those were Grand Sports. The remaining 5359 were either Collector Edition's or regular '96 models.
Is there any way to determine the number of '96 LT4s made by exterior/interior color combinations? I'm just curious. Has anyone else pondered about this?
The Collectors Edition Registry site shows there were 5412 CE '96 Vettes. I've always been a fan of the CE - mainly b/c I like the color and the wheels it came with. It does seem interesting that there are more CE silver Vettes than any other color produced in 1996. The next most produced color was Torch Red with 4418.
I wish I could figure out how many '87 Vettes were produced just like mine, but I doubt that information is easily accessible.
CE's were not limited in production, that's why there are so many of them. If you wanted one in '96, you could get one, unlike the GS where production was limited to 1000.
1 of 614 here. Black/Black with base suspension. It's not an autocross car so F45 is just more parts to break. No loss to me. It's a cruiser. Oh yeah. :yesnod:
Very good site !
But where all CE's built with LT4? I couldn't see how many LT4 CE's were
built with black interiour. I thought, that there are also CE's with LT1 ?!

You are correct. Basically it comes down to whether the car is a manual or automatic in 1996. All manuals had the LT4 and all automatics had the LT1. Hence why all Grand Sports had the LT4. They are all 6 speeds.
