The driver side power mirror on my '93 is just loose enough to rattle going down the road. Not the housing, just the mirror inside the housing. It seems I should be able to remove the mirror and fix the mounting issue, I just don't want to break something and end up replacing the whole assembly. If it can be done do any of you have any instruction for removing a mirror? Thanks !
The screws behind the mirror are probably loose.Hopefully none of the plastic is broke. I couldn't find a vid for a c4 corvette but this explains how to pop mirror off.
I used a plastic pry tool. Once you get the mirror off you will see screws. I had to take the top screws off the plate to get to the ones underneath that were loose and causing my mirror to rattle. Once you get it off you will see what the problem is.
Use blue locktight on screws.
Thanks to all for your help. I snapped the mirror off, tightened the screws. A little tricky getting the mirror to snap back on the gimble mount. 15 minutes.
