Are these for a L98 or LT1?

L98. LT1 didn't have the logo on the valve cover.

I was having some electrical work done at the house and one of the guys saw my vette. He said the previous owner of his house left them behind and I can have them if I want

Wow. Pretty cool. Those are identical to the ones on my ‘91 L98 base coupe...except the perfect condition, that is.

from the emblem, it's a left hand, aluminum head, 86 to 90 L98 center bolt. the 91 L98 had a slightly different emblem making it a one year assembly. as stated, 1992 LT1 did not have an emblem - another one year part. see attached pic - note color scheme, red vs. black, and the gold bowtie, original part number (LH) for 86-90 VC is 10055781, 1991 is 10108588. compared pics. 1991 VC emblems are made from Unobtainium
.

Ahhh...okay. I see the difference now. Good eye.
I didn’t notice that little difference since I hand painted the emblem on my 91 to color match the car when I tore it down a few months ago. So many little nuances with these cars. You have shown me another one!! Either way, those covers are gems.
