Getting there on the project. I'm looking at carpet now. I'm leaning towards top flight automotive for it. Was also thinking of going with the poly back as I already fully installed sound deadening in the entire car. Plus I have to modify some of it as I built my own interior. The rear is going to be fun but the front shouldn't be too bad.
A penny for your thoughts? Thanks!
Do you have any plans to go to Corvettes at Carlisle? There are a few vendors who attend who will work on your car there or at least get you the carpet sections for you to pick up there. Corvette America is always there, as is RPI. There is another very popular leather and carpet vendor, but their name is slipping my mind (sorry). If you look at their Carlisle site you can see what vendors are attending, give them each a call first, pick the best vendor and place your order for pickup or for installation.

I wish. At this point in life I cant go. Thanks though!
I bought carpet for my '87 from Rock Auto. Same ACC carpet as everywhere else for less. I did poly backed with sound deadener, no issues.
Not to hijack the OPs thread, but how was the fit ? I just bought an ACC carpet through RA (@ almost 1/2 of the cost listed on the ACC website) and the fit was horrible. Now this was not for a C4 but a Beretta which I know is a much lower demand item, but I was still very disappointed.

I bought and installed ACC recently.
There was a bit of trimming involved. Fit was OK.
Quality was mediocre. It is not OEM quality carpet.
Thanks.....
I ordered from Top Flight. I had the 10% off and free shipping. I went with the cheaper stuff. All said and done was like 490. As long as it fits good and looks good ill be happy.. my project is far from stock so hopefully it all works out.. will post pics in my long running thread when I install it..
thanks again everyone
Carpet showed up yesterday. Seems ok (wasn't looking for perfect).....anyways, does anyone have any pics of their interior that shows the carpet all installed? My interior i built, and I kept in mind id be using stock carpet, but its not how I imagined. Especially the sides of the tunnel on both sides. I thought it would be molded from the floor up, but dosent seem to be the case. I got them last night at 830 so spent 5 minutes un boxing it and looking so I could be wrong. Everyone wants their boat for the weekend and I'm tired as hell. I'm hoping to get started on it this weekend if I'm not completely drained...thanks
My 3 Corvette carpet projects were a mixed bag - some better than others. The first two were a C3 and a C4 - both from MAM. The fit was excellent. However, the edge of one of the pieces (C4) suffered from lack of quality control. They offered to replace the defective piece, but I had already glued it down before discovering the flaw - and was able to tuck the edge in to where it doesn't show.
The last was an '81 and the carpet was by way Ecklers (IIRC) and the fit and quality was perfect. However, I bought the brush-on contact cement liquid from MAM b/c of the excellent experience with their cement in the previous 2 jobs.*
*I met with less than good results using spray-on adhesive on the carpets. Until I used the (green) liquid stuff from MAM, long term abrasion areas would fail to "stick". The liquid brush-on was applied 8+ years ago and had never let go - even around corners & sharp bends! ALSO...I took a hint from this website with regard to applying a second coat of adhesive to one side of the two surfaces to be glued (contact cement), and to press the surfaces together before the second layer gets tacky. Not only can you adjust the fit (slightly) after the surfaces are joined, but the adhesion - especially where the carpet gets some abrasion, i.e., sills and knee pads, etc. is excellent.
