Default Led tail light upgrade questions

I have a 95 C4 I want to add the LED tail light conversion and all the videos I’ve seen on YouTube show a single socket for each tail light mine has two sockets per tail light one for the turn signal one for the tail lights the LED taillights that I’ve seen online All have one whip to attach to a single socket, Not sure why mine seems to be different than all others I’ve seen online, also the lenses I have have amber bottoms on them and none I’ve seen online do, does anybody have any input

Sounds like you have European tail lights... US tail lights are solid red and single bulb (dual fillament which works with a dual led bulb [I installed these recently on mine])... I'm not an expert here, so others may be able to chime in.

I think Pedricd is right:
C4 Corvette 1991-1996 Base / ZR1 European Tail Light (corvettemods.com)

So get 1157 LED bulbs like these for example:
Amazon.com: iBrightstar Newest 9-30V Super Bright Low Power 1157 2057 2357 7528 BAY15D LED Bulbs with Projector for Tail Brake Lights, Brilliant Red: Automotive Amazon.com: iBrightstar Newest 9-30V Super Bright Low Power 1157 2057 2357 7528 BAY15D LED Bulbs with Projector for Tail Brake Lights, Brilliant Red: Automotive

You just need to buy two 1157's per light.

Sounds like someone converted your taillights to fake European spec. Real export '95s had red/amber on the outer lamps and red/white on the inner ones, but it seems like most people forget about the red/white ones.

Anyway, your turn signal ones should be 1156, and the tail/brake should be 1157 if they're wired correctly.

I would check and see if there's a splitter in the wiring that you can remove. If so, I would use these or something similar. Seeing as a decent led bulbs is like 20 bucks these days, a whole housing for 40iah isn't bad.

That is a nice option if the wiring is fixed correctly.

Hi Gilly, lm about to purchase a recently imported ‘93 into Australia. For it to comply, l will need the euro style rear lamps. If you were willing to sell yours to revert back to all red, I’d be interested. PM me if so
Cheers from down under 🇦🇺

No worries Gilly, I’ll deal with it once l get the c4 I’m hoping to purchase.
BTW, I’m not normally a fan of black wheels but they look good with the polished outer rims.👍

agreed on the wheels...those look like repro Z06 with different center caps. and I think I see a corsa tucked under there along with upgraded (C6?) brakes. Nice!

I have a black on black 93. I’ve been considering either grand sport (or replica), C5 Z06 with black centers (or replica) with or without the fake multi-piece bolts around the rim.

Correct on both, Corsa exhaust and the wheels. Once I added the new wheels my rotors looked terrible (rusted and old) so I upgraded pad and rotors. I went with a staggered set of 17x9.5 up front and 18x 10.5 on the rear, I really like the set up and how the car stance is
