I've read several threads on these amps for repairs and other amps used in their place. I can get my hands on 4 Nissan 928 amps but am not finding any sources to point to compatibility. And I mean pin outs is all I really care about as long as decent sound comes out. I did the cap replacement on 2 of them but I'm starting to suspect another component is bad on the amp or the head is not sending signal and power to it. That is my next step before pulling the radio out of the dash.
If the amps are a close match for sixty bucks I'll get them. I live next to an auto salvage and the are 2 C4's there. Badly chopped up but I may be able to find the old amps in one of them.
There also is an FX3 system in it and the are 3 of the 4 shocks and servos on it I may pull to have a spare.
The same speaker sets were used in several other vehicles too. If you poke around a bit, you can find the make and model. I don't remember what they were, but for a time at least, they were easier to find than Corvette ones. Remember though, you're dealing with electronics that are around 30 years old.
very interesting half the price of most places to get the speaker amps done. Has anyone used their service? How do they compare to Dr. Dons for example

They have 100% feedback from 532 on ebay.
I learned about them here in some post. Somewhere.
I was thinking of going the Nissan amp route, but you have to be careful which one you get. There are several that don't work (see this discussion - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-guidance.html).
I'd love to actually hear from someone as well.
