I have a 96 Wht / Beige coupe LT4 with the F45 option Vin # 117917. Info I have found is this car is 1 of 9 built. I just got an NCRS top flight award at the AZ regional. The car has a beige headliner. The judging manual indicates that all C4s came with black headliners. The judging team could not disprove that this was not original from the factory.
Has anyone seen another C4 with the headliner color matching the interior? I would also like to find any information on the other 8 cars out there that may be equipped like this one. Thanks.....
I'd there an rpo code or something in the build sheet saying it has this "option" vs sjust something done aftermarket? Does it still have a black frame?
You could research original dealer and buyer. If it was a GM factory car it could be a one off, depending on.who.it was for. Mostly likely color was changed when headliner was replaced.

You I'm quite sure will NEVER be able to prove that it is/was a BGR original.
You used the 'rarity' inquiry with compnine.com for the '1 of 9' OR what other research? Info you have found from what source?
643 is only the leather seating code. 64I is just a reference to interior parts that are colored also - seatbelts, door trim panels and carpet come to mind as well as the push retainers bottom of your door trim.. GM SPO has only a 'single' part number for the headliner since sometime in the '85 model year. There were 2 different fabrications for the '85.
The 1 of 9 info actually came from a post on this site dated 10/24/15 from LT4 F45. There was a study done by someone at Wright State University.
So you're relying upon 'hearsay' from 'other than verified' sources! 'Done by SOMEONE @WSU !!! I doubt could be considered fact!
I'd think that if you actually did a 'rarity' inquiry through compnine.com then you could actually use the 'reliable sources' tag and let 'fact checkers' dispute it then. CompNine is a very 'reliable source' very!
rarity is inexpensive - last checked I believe 15$ gets it done!
Never heard of comp nine, but I will check them out. Thanks..... If your interested email me at dietzb01@gmail.com and I will send the info from Wright.
I also have a 96 Arctic White/Light Beige LT4 coupe. It was judged Top Flight in 2016 with the previous owner. My car does not have the f45, but is a factory two top car. The headliner in my white top is black. My vin is 108193 built 11/22/95. I also refer to that 96 production numbers post when I say it is 1 of 79 AW/LB LT4 coupes. I don’t know if it’s right or wrong.
Rare is a word not usually associated with the C4, the run of these cars manufactured was in the 355,000 range. Im sure there's color combos that are not so often seen, but does that in of itself make the cars worth more? Probably not. There's a reason GM made more RED corvettes...because they are more desirable. Nobody wrote a song about the little Beige corvette.
I'm sure your car is nice, the LT4 car in and of itself is a very desirable car. but the audience for the car is dictated by desirable features, maybe yours has it? maybe it dont.
The source is cited as wright.edu, but, the *original* source was from a long-gone site called collectoreditionregistry.com. That site was hosted by a Corvetteforum member back in 2001-2002, named "Rottie." I am not sure what his connection was to the factory but he had a source. When my car came up for sale in 2001, he cited it was one of six yellow/beige/Z51s, but there was not a breakdown available of how many of those six cars had LT4s. I've seen three yellow/beige/LT4/Z51s over the years, and I regularly check multiple for sale sites. As I've watched C4 sales for over 20 years now, the numbers he cited for the '96s really do seem to make sense in practice.
Rare is what anyone makes of it. I just like the numbers, and enjoy having something different you don't see on the road every day. If you have one of nine (which both threads above support), it's rare! Mine's (at most) one of six. It's rare, good luck finding another one. I found my twin about 14 years ago oddly enough in the same city mine came from (Phoenix) - perhaps Midway Chevrolet ordered similarly-equipped cars in '96. Rare doesn't necessarily make it worth more than others, but it's what I wanted, so it's worth more to me.
