In the dash, passenger side behind the "bread-basket". Mine was taped, using actual masking tape, to the wiring harness in the dash, to the right of the radio. It is a black plastic container with a white connector having 5 pins, opened on one end. This picture is the actual factory timer case but the circuit board is one that I made, that replaces the factory (failed) circuit board, and makes the interior lights fade in/out "Theater" style. Like modern cars, the way the lights dim in and out, I have this new replacement circuit board about ready to sell to anyone wanting to fix/upgrade their interior lights. This fixed a problem I was having with my C4 always needing to have a battery charger plugged in. Since I replaced the timer module I've not had to connect the battery charger again. Wasted years trying to track down that problem! Every once in a while I would come out to the garage and the interior lights would be on, but it turns out the timer was consuming a power at all times..
