I had a 84 corvette I restored from ground up sadly it got hit while on the interstate well I’m looking at a 91 or I can get a 95 auto for the same price now my question is I had a c5 (first manual) with a stage 4 racing clutch it was hard I could barely take off would a 91 be easy to drive for a starter? If anything I can just get the 95 just wanting to get into the manual world
Sorry about the '84. The '91 with it's L98 is ridiculously easy to drive as a manual, of course assuming it's mechanically solid. You can almost drive as an automatic, there's enough torque. But the L98 and the LT1 in the '95 are quite different, I'd suggest you test drive both. Also, mechanical problems with the ZF + clutch though rare can get expensive fast.
I enjoy my '91 6-speed greatly. Would only consider a ZR-1 to replace it. That C5 was challenging only because of the racing clutch, standard is much more useable.

thanks man! I may be looking at a c5 z06 got a good deal on one with low miles I read they are a great first manual car but I also want to get back in the saddle in a c4
Look at the difference in the interior of the 90-93 vs 94-96. I personally like the details of the 90-93. As to the ease of the clutch on a stock set-up vs a stage 4 racing set up night and day. Sounds like your leaning toward a 6 speed. My suggestion is go out and test drive a few C4 and C5 all your concerns about drive-ability will go out the window.
