Default C4 Convertible Nitrous setup

Looking at buying a C4 convertible near me, I realise theres basically no cargo space? Is there anyway to run a nitrous setup in a convertible C4? Where would i mount it? If anyone has pics/has done it and has advice please let me know

I have a 90 vert and and there is a fair bit of room behind the seats. Enough for a nitrous tank I would think.

Why are you considering buying a convertible if the room needed will not be met when the top is down? With the top up you might get a small nitrous bottle with the appropriate tilt in there but certainly not with the top down. Small backpacks with the top up will be OK but those will have to be small like a day pack. The room under the top when down is around 6 inches with about 6 inches of space forward of the top behind the seats that has more height. If the folding top is completely removed from the car and you have the optional hardtop installed there is a more room. However that defeats the reason for having a convertible so you may as well pursue purchasing a coupe.

Ah im looking at this specific car as it has a full engine rebuild done to it for a fairly reasonable price. I only ask because on the rare day that i need the space i would hope thered be a bit. This obviously wouldnt be my daily driver.

Ok I understand the reasoning. I do not think you can put a nitrous bottle in there since you will need the bottle tilted up and even with the top up it would have to be a very small bottle. But a rebuilt engine at a reasonable price may make it a nice deal even if you can not put nitrous to it. Also think about all of the other things that may need to be taken care of when purchasing a C4 that seems reasonable at the time of purchase and plan for those expenses.

If you are going to play with Nitrous in a vert, IMO you will want to.find a hard top for it. Hard top is heavy but has roll bar incorporated in it. With a hard top and using right storage bin you could conceal a 10lb bottle. Placing towel or jacket behind passenger seat It will depend on whether you use wet or dry system.

This is my set up . It is not in a vert , but it gives you an idea of set up size , hope it helps . Caution : make sure your bottom end is solid . The stock lt1/4 will handle a 100 to 150 shot no issues . I spun a main bearing on a 200sh with a built top end and cam stock bottom end . I run a 500hp forge built Chad Golen stroker now . Built proof . Like I said , not a high mile stock bottom end or to much spray . GOD bless
