I have a 95 lt1 auto after it sat for 2 weeks I took it for a drive and sys was flashing on the dash. I took it home pulled the battery and had it test, it was bad, I bought a new battery put it in and no crank no start, any ideas what could be wrong?
What is date on battery? Can you test it for power (volt ) with a multimeter? If good turn lights on with key on for a minute to wake up battery. Then shut lights off and try to restart. When you removed battery did you use a 9 volt remote supply to keep all your systems up? If not another problem could have happen. If no start and you have a little battery voltage try to pull codes that is a OB2 car so that could give you some info on your problem. Good luck i asssume some one else will chime in.
If this was a 92-93 sys flashing might indicate comms issue between the ECM and CCM due to ECM problems, but I've not heard of it happening on a 94...remember the battery could have been completely unrelated to your SYS error flashing, and this could be a new problem.
Is your Security light flashing when you try to crank it?
I agree on attempting to pull codes using the paperclick method...
is the dash etc...lighting up at all (if not is the battery hooked up properly and are the fuseable links ok?). Does everything go "dark"/lose power when you try to crank (this was happening to me due to a loose battery connection). Check your grounds too...do they look corroded or is anything now disconnected, did you clean the terminals/cables before reattaching the cables and are you SURE they are attached well?

Are interior lights and dash working when trying to crank?
Not OBD2 it is OBD1. It has a 16 pin OBD2 type aldl because PCM is reprogrammed verses have a replaceable chip ( PROM)
SYS flashes for CCM faults, you.need.to.find out what code(s) are stored in different modules. Always connect ground cable last, positive cable last can send voltage spikes damaging modules.
