Default 95 corvette fuel issue

If the car sits, I have problems getting it started. Check it today with fuel pressure guage and with key on it showed 26-27 psi. It started and the guage showed 26 psi and started to drop to 0. Turned it off and it went back to where it will turn over but not start. Fuel p

Fuel pressure numbers look right? - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion

Your numbers seem way low. Do you have FSM? Smell any gas in the vacuum line to the regulator. Myself I would replace the fuel pump, fuel filter and regulator. Dan

Default This ☝️

I agree with the above trouble shoot ☝️ Fuel pressure is low . Regulator, clogged filter on the frame rail . Or possibly get a higher volume fp . All are priced right . Hope it works out !
GOD bless

It sounds like the FPR . I had the same issue with crazy readings. Even though there was no fuel in the FPR,it was still bad

Hi. Just my two cents.. I always change the pump, filter and regulator at the same time.
About the fuel pump; Don't alter the fuel pump or the fuel pressure! Buy a new stock fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. You can find all the parts easy online for around 300,00 or less. Replace the gasket when you change the fuel pump and make sure to save and reuse the little O-rings that seal the mounting bolts. Tech Tip, Clean the bolts thoroughly and use a little Vaseline or equivalent before reinstalling the bolts and O-rings. After all bolts are in and hand tight, turn each bolt one complete turn (360 degrees) to avoid overnighting/crushing the gasket.
About the fuel pressure regulator; This is easy to change and can be done without removing the fuel rail.
As for the filter. These are a PITA!!!
It's mounted very close to the RHS Cat Converter and will leak fuel from the lines no matter how hard you try to avoid it. First remove the 10mm bolt that secures the filter to the body rail and the bolt that clamps the front line to the car so you can move the front fuel line away from the filter. Then, break loose the fuel lines with a line-wrench. If there's corrosion, use PB Blaster first and let it soak a few hours. To avoid excess fuel siphoning and since your changing the fuel pump anyway.. Don't connect the fuel supply line to the pump. instead put a bolt that fits snuggly in to the fuel line and clamp it to keep excess fuel from draining. (Just like putting a straw in a glass of water and covering one end and removing the straw and the fluid stays in it)
Oh and... Don't forget to disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the fuel pump fuse before you start the job.
I hope this helps you and good luck. You Can Do This!
