Default Tradition?

Hello everyone, yesterday I took off my old carpet from my c4 and on the passenger side, I found a dollar bill !!
It is a tradition?, because here in France have found nothing under the carpet of our cars !!
Anyway I'm happy because I never had a dollar bill in my hand

Usually under the carpet and under the seats you'll find loose change, golf tee's, receipts or matches, small sockets etc. Finding a loose dollar bill is a nice find! Not sure how it worked its way in there or if someone from the factory put it there. Very cool find either way!

Fun find! You should frame that along with a picture of your car. Those are the kinds of things that make great garage art.

My question is, is it a lucky charm?

Zooming in on the first image shows a print date of 1981 so it could have been dropped there by someone at the factory.

It occurs to me that the factory workers knew this unit was shipping to France and dropped in an "Easter Egg" as a surprise. Remember, the gasoline filler area includes this: "Essence sans plomb seulement". Christophe33, do you know the ownership history of your Corvette?

I agree with AftonJay. Take some nice photos of you and the currency and then put the bill back when you install the carpet.

Thank you for your information, what I know about it is that it is an export model affected in Europe but for no country
that the color combination is unique according to the book by robert casey
but nothing more about her
the word unleaded gasoline is for Quebec, where there are other French but who are Canadian

Ah, did not think of the Québécois and I have a good friend from Montreal! Let us know what you find out on your car. It looks nice and you have both tops.

Man...lol
Its a symbolic of the average American slob thats all. Nobody at the factory was hiding money in there

Found a rolled up bill and close to an 1/8 of coke in my 73 Stingray. Did I inhale?

That is a beautiful car with unique options. Only 54 made with the blue top and to see the J55 brake package without any other performance options is very rare.

it also looks like there is another Corvette near yours and a classic auto driving away. Were you at a car event?

Welcome to the forum and I miss picnics above the Dune du Pilat with friends. You live in the best area of France where I wish I could have spent more time but work was in Chantilly.
