Alarm issues
I have an 87 C4 . The other day after a drive I pulled in the driveway and when I went to turn the car off the alarm went off . I don't have a key fob . I had a hard time getting it to stop . I turned the key on , off , on , nothing . I opened the door , closed the door , locked the door , unlocked the door . EVERYTHING . Finally it stopped , don't know why . A few days later I tried to start the car and it was totally dead . I noticed a faint outline of the digital dash . I don't recall if that's normal . I plan to disconnect the battery and then see if it's charged , and try over .

Alarm should go off when the locked car door is unlocked with the key

I put another battery in today and started the car a few times throughout the day . I went out tonight and noticed the interior door light on . I must have hit it while trying intensely to get the alarm off . Thus problem solved . Thanks for the responses .
