Headers

I just bought a 84 Corvette it has hooker compatition headers and it's burning my plug wires it has straight plugs. I tried the long straight boot plug wires with heat wrap 90 degree plugs wires with heat wrap what else can I do? This is my first Vette.

Could be you have headers designed for angle plug heads. As in late 86 and up aluminum headed engines.
I have Hooker Comp headers in my 86 and I use the 90 degree plug wires. No issues

You need to be real careful with wire routing and the stock routing can result in burned wires with headers. Put the cap on each plug so the wire isn’t near the pipe. Not much room down there.
