Bought a 1986. Going thru an inspection I found a loose wire. It comes thru the fire wall on the far driver side and has a red connector on the end. Can't see where it goes. Attached a picture. Would apprentice any help.
That doesn't look like a factory connector to me. You might use a test light and see if it is hot, with the key off and then again with the key on. You might try and see where it runs to. When I bought my 88 last year, it had an aftermarket alarm system on it (it didn't work anymore), and over the next week, I began taking it off the car. I would disconnect a wire and then see if the car still ran. I finally got all of the old wiring, switches and horn off. I couldn't believe how much wire was run for this alarm system.
