A women cut the corner and hit the left front of the car. She got out of her Ram and yelled did I hit you. I said ya and the paint down the side of her truck showed it. She then asked why I had an attitude. I told her I only had the car since July and there was nothing wrong with it until she hit it and then she said her vette was better and the damage would "rub out" I just shook my head and walked away. She then asked what I wanted to do I told her let's trade license info she said no she wasn't giving me her license. I then called the police and she got upset that I did that. If she wouldn't have had the running board she probably would have ended up on top of the hood of the car.
That sucks, but it could have been a lot worse. I bet most of that will buff out, if not it looks like only the front bumper will have to be repainted.
Last month I was with my wife driving her 2015 Murano when we got some food. When I was getting ready to back out of our space I put it in reverse, looked, checked the backup camera and started to back up. I hadn't backed up 15 feet when we were hit from behind by a Honda Civic, which I turned around to see. As my wife asked me what was that, I replied that we were backed into by someone else and pointed to the Civic, which then to my shock began to speed away from the area. I memorized the rear plate numbers that I could see, and then as I asked her if she was alright I opened my door and took off on foot after the Civic driver. Ran my *** all the way across the parking lot where I saw them trying to get out, cut the angle across the lot and headed them off just as they were about to get away with it. Motioned to the window, driver rolled it down and asked what I needed. I told her to pull over in a forceful voice and saw that it was a 17-18 y.o. girl driving. When she rolled down her window and parked, she said "what?" and said "you just backed into our car. Why did you take off like that?". She said she "looked after she hit us and didn't see any damage, so she figured she could leave. I informed her otherwise. Took a picture of her car and license plate. Walked her *** back across the lot to our car not saying a word, had us check out our vehicles, exchanged paperwork, etc.
I couldn't believe that I had to run her down across 1/4 mile of parking lot. The employees on the sidewalk who heard the bang of impact looked at my wife and said "is he actually running after that car?"
No kidding dude. I remember how hard I had to work to buy my '89 in the first place so I take care of it. I hope your stuff is repairable with some good paint correction / buffing work. It looks like it may be; that paint flex agent is pretty durable on that part of the car. Good luck with it.
What sucks is I'm only driving the car because a few weeks ago my wife and kids got into an accident in the Grand Cherokee when someone ran a 4way stop. She is driving my wrangler because there is no loaner cars. Her accident caused $16k in damage to the jeep.

This happened at the Empire Hill Climb while the car was sitting in the parking lot of the motel. No note, no gosh I'm sorry, nothing. Thank goodness I was able to rub it out using a magic sponge.
