Just picked this vette up and it looks like something fell on the hood and bent it. I have peeled back the cracked paint and the 'fiberglass' isn't cracked. Does anyone have experience with this?

your hood hinges from the front, so it is possible somebody wrecked your car a while back, and your hood was not repaired correctly.
put a request for a hood in the parts section of the C4 forum, , and just see what you get, people are parting these cars daily, you might find a bargain.

The hood is heavy fiberglass doubtful if it is bent unless as stated above, had a poor repair. , The bumper cover is thin and very flexible. It has slotted mounting holes and is adjustable. If you open the hood and loosen the screws along the top in that area you can align the bumper cover with the hood.
That hood has been damaged. You can see the paint bubbling, peeling. From the angle of the picture, it even looks like the headlight is not aligned correctly.
