Sticky plastic
I don’t know if it’s just my car but the plastic on my center console the part where the cup holder are is always kind of sticky even after several cleanings it still catch dust sand hairs and it always look dirty.

That is the deteriorating coating, referred to on this forum as Dulso. There are a number of posts that address the removal and repainting of the plastic parts. Use the thread search to find them. I removed my sticky coating with fingernail polish remover and repainted.

I removed mine with acetone nail polish remover. Without the acetone, it want work as well. Had it sandblasted then I painted it with a satin black 2k paint. Looks good 8 years later
