Can someone help with this problem, when i put the paper clip in the proper tabs in the ALDL t check for codes, I get nothing. Why would that happen?

You mentioned tabs, I assumed you meant 'terminals' BUT you mention using paper clip as jumper! I asked what pins(terminals) and you reply with 12.

Rather than paper clip buy a few correct Metri-Pack 150 Male terminals and fabricate a more suitable 'jumper'.

Correction, I meant to say OBD1 wont respond to the paper clip method to check for codes.

There are specific instructions in that document for '94 + C4. You car has 16 pin connector and you need to use the DIC and IP cluster display to do diagnostics. It does very well!! Read again!!

If you're jumping wrong terminals it's difficult to tell what you might have done!!

Thanks for the link helps alot, I have the wire connectors in the pic,but I dont get a response from the car. I did early . but now nothing.
