Default What's that sensor called?

1987 C4: Two sensors on the front of the engine just to the right of the fuel lines going into the fuel rails. The sensor on the right has a yellow and black wire going to it, and I believe that is the Coolant Temp. Sensor. The sensor to the left of that, with the screw driver resting on it, is the one in question. I’m trying to restore this Vette and I’m replacing things as I go because I don’t want to have to go back after I’m done. What sensor is that? I can’t get a new one if I don’t know what it’s called. The wires come out of the passenger side injector wire harness.

For the cold start injector. It stays closed for a few seconds on a cold start, then it stays open.

Thank you. I wish there was a source for that info. I checked two manuals and could find nothing.

What sort of information are you looking for?

There's very likely 50+ references for 'cold start' in the 6E-3 section of the FSM.

6E3-A-22 would be a very good start. If your FSM is a .pdf try page .pdf 416

I'm guessing those were Haynes manuals?

Thank you, I found the page you mention. I'm still learning the manual and finding new stuff every day. That cold start injector is a very expensive item!
