I replaced the boot around my fuel filler neck and found this beneath the cover plate that attaches to the filler door. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the "-1" means after the build date and if the top number is the production number from the entire manufacturing period. The vin is 1989, but it looks like the build date might be 1988??? Any insight is appreciated.
Can anyone decode this?
