Hi guys. I have a problem with my 1988 Corvette C4. If I turn on the lights and turn signals at the same time, the turn signals stop flashing and only illuminate. It happens both with the front lower lights and with the headlights. I tried to turn off the lights and it's happening anyway. It seems to me that this is happening thanks to the corner lights. The previous owner probably connected the aftermarket radio incorrectly. As GND, he used a light brown cable that comes to the left front turn signal. Where should this light brown cable go? Or where should he be involved? Thanks

I'd suggest you purchase a 1988 'GENUINE' FSM (Factory Service Manual) so that you can resolve your issues!! There was insufficient information in your original post to actually offer up any help.

But I have the original FSM. According to the wiring diagram, this brown cable ends at 25 (according to FSM - Voltage Regulator Controlled Reference voltage "F-"). But for me, this brown cable comes into the area behind the radio and doesn't go anywhere. So does anyone know where the brown cable should be connected or where 25 is located? I just can't trace it.

I doubt the PO did what you're accusing!

See 8A-30 and 8A-82-12 for circuit 25 information.

Brown wires are used all through out a C4 in various places to various components. There's Brown expected at near radio also.

You mention 'Light Brown' so are you actually working with BROWN or maybe TAN

I doubt anyone could have helped with info in your original post BUT circuit 25 which you've included an image of has been explained.

Your lights and directional require very different diagnostics! There is 'for sure' Brown related wiring!!!

Try working with 8A-12 and 8A-110 blocks for lighting issues and generally for diagnostics the 'spread diagrams' aren't used. They're very informational.

I do have FSM, but I don't have Section 8A in it at all. So do my friends ... If someone could send me these missing pages, it would help me a lot.
