RANT.......Why dont they make C4 shift Knobs????

RANT.......Why dont they make C4 shift *****????
Everywhere I look, there are cool carbon fiber shift ***** but they all have a C5 logo on them.......I cant find them plain or with a C4 logo......why not???? :(

From what I understand, the C5 shift **** will work on the C4. I wouldn't want a **** with a C5 logo, but I have seen a few cool carbon fiber C5 ***** that should work. :)

It does seem that the catalog companies cater to newest generation. It won't be long before the C5 guys are in the same boat. Even a replacement leather **** is getting hard to find for our C4's. I was actually thinking of buying a replacement because the price seems to be getting kinda of steep and eventually will be discontinued. And good luck getting the shift pattern for the early six speeds (letters in orange).

I saw the same thing... Would not want a C5 ANYTHING on my C4's :nono: I did get a CALLAWAY shift **** and for me, it works. I have seen them in other cars as the "C" emblem is very discreet.
Only problem w/ the **** - COLD!!!! in Winter and HOT :mad in the Summer...
I usually carry one of my toddler's socks for day's like those ;) (My 'lil "shift bootie")
The **** is about 60 bucks and it comes in medium Blue, Silver, Red and, Black (although you can have one custom "hued" to your taste).

p.s. I agree w/ the statement that the c5's are catered to in catalogs, etc for now but I will add that back in the 80's we just did not have the aftermarket stuff like we do now... In fact, I think we (C4's) have more today in catalogs, etc. than we did back "in the day"...

I was thinking of getting the momo sphere in black leather. It is not a stock looking **** though. There are many aftermarket ***** on ebay. :seeya

Because the stock shift **** in the C4 is nice looking, and the stock C5's is oversized, cartoonish, and cheap feeling... bigger market. :D

I just put the leather reproduction shift **** on from TLD and I like it alot. Its slightly smaller than stock and has a nice feel. :thumbs:

Got a Calaway **** as well. It fits my hand great, but yes in the winter it's colder than a whitches biznoobie in a brass bra and in the summer hotter than the depths of hell.

Like some of the others have said try out www.flameball.com and get one of those 5 colors *****. Its easy to wire up for lights at night and looks damn :cool:

I have a C5 shift **** on my c4.
The C5 logo has rubbed off.
The previous owner got it to fit the c4 some how.
I'm looking to go back to stock though.

I purchased a Satin C4 shift patern **** from Extreme Motorsports. The one that I got is a high quality piece and was around $65.
I no longer have it on due to the burning sensation that I got in my palm after it absorbed some of the Texas sun.

Looking Pretty Good There !!!!! The only difference between yours and mine is I have the red and black wheel skin and the 5 color Flameball.....But I have to admit yours looks pretty :cool: ;)
