Mirrors turning yellow

My 93 the out side mirrors are turning yellow why?

That's an issue with nearly all 'heated mirrors' regardless of the car brand. C4 does better regarding this than many of the newer of any other brand!

Yup. I had a heated mirror (not on my C4) that got so bad it was nearly useless. That car's a beater, so I just separated the transparent overlay from the mirror glass, and the brown goo that had so badly discolored and distorted the view ran out from in between like thin oil. I clipped off the heater wires, and it's now an unheated mirror that's clear again. For obvious reasons, I'd just replace such a mirror on a Corvette or any vehicle I much cared about.
