Default HVAC hose connection???

Just finished installing new aftermarket stereo in my 95, and as I’m getting ready to install the pass side lower dash cover, I see a vacuum hose that’s not hooked up. I can’t see where it goes. One end goes into the wiring loom that goes back towards the center. I assume the open end hooks to something by the heater box, but can’t see anything. Please help!!

The 1B- section of the FSM will have 'vacuum routing' references. Some where in the vicinity of 1B-12 or thereabouts. Does the hose have a colored tracer on the hose or is it all black? C60 or C68 A/C.

Thanks for the reply! I have the electronic controls, I’m guessing C68. I found the hose routing in the manual (1B-12), but I can’t seem to find the other end that the hose must plug into… No tracer on the hose.

Start your car and run your heater/AC on all the different settings, figure out what you don't have working properly, maybe this help you narrow it down to where it plugs in to! Good luck👍

I’m happy to report that the problem has been solved! The vacuum line I showed above was the source from the engine, meaning the connection was most likely hidden in the back of the dash, behind the radio. Unfortunately, I had to disassemble the console and radio bezel (which I had just assembled) and search for the wayward vacuum line. I found the tiny black plastic line laying beneath the wiring harnesses under the radio. I fished it through the side bracing and reunited it with the source line. I’m pretty sure it’s been off for a while, since my dash and floor vents weren’t working right. I tested it, and all is well, so I re-reassembled the console and called it a day.
