Turning lamps are excellent. My first experience with them was when I bought my 2003 Grand Marquis back in 2014. When I bought my '84 in 2018 I was already used to them. A couple of my friends that took a ride at night with me thought we were getting lit up from the police when I put a signal on... Haha..

The cinch button is nice to keep from sliding but has another purpose (for me) that's pretty nice: I can get a car seat nice and tight using that little button. (Laugh all you want at the thought of a car seat in a Corvette. I get dirty looks from the "helicopter parents" from time to time. Who's kid is having more fun: the ones riding in a classic sports car or the ones riding in a boring SUV?)
Both kids love the 85 and my dad's 76. This allows me to share the car with them.
Funny story about car seats in the 76. I thought the seat belt had no ratchet function (if you've had to put car seats in any car you know what I'm talking about, it starts ratcheting if you pull the bet all he way out) and thus my youngest couldn't go for a ride in Grandpa's 76, unlike his older sister that is already in a booster. Needless to say: he was pretty bummed when I told him he couldn't go yet. When I was cleaning the interior in prep for winter storage I realized that the belts have the ratchet feature. I get like an *** once I realized he could have gone all along if I had just checked instead of assuming the car was too old to have such a feature.
Maybe it's a good thing he was so bummed. If he's that enthusiastic at 4 years old maybe both cars will be as loved by the kids as they are by me when it's time to hand them down.
