Default Hypertech power tuning product

HI ALL - I have a 1996 C4 LT-1. There is a sticker on the door that says "THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH HYPERTECH POWER TUNING PRODUCT - CARB E.O. NOS D-260-0 THRU D-260-9 - FOLLOW FACTORY TUNEUP SPECIFICATIONS"
I understand its a chip installed in the ECM. I did not receive anything else with the car, like a plug in device to program it or whatever. I understand from reading old threads here that it changes the fan turn on temp, which is a good thing since both fans go on at about 190 - 200.
My question is do I need to worry about it or just let it do whatever it does?

It is NOT a 'chip' for a '96. If you continue to have 'no issues' there would be no reason to consider anything else. It's also possible that a previous owner also returned the car to stock which would 'unlock' the Hypertech device for resale. I have a 365752 which would be correct for a '96 if you'd like snapshots. The one I have I don't know to be VIN locked and haven't tried in a '96. I don't know if the Hypertech module & cable can be used for a car that has already been modified or NOT. I would assume likely not.

This is typical of a Hypertech for a '96

FEATURES:

-Adjust/remove top speed limiter
- Set transmission shift firmness stock, mild, firm
- Set Transmission shift points
- Set Engine rev limiter
- Set cooling fan on/off temperatures
- Set speedometer and odometer to be correct when using other than stock tire sizes or non stock rear gear ratios
- Hypertech Power Programming,features advanced spark timing,etc.
- 50 state emissions legal

WVZR-1 - Thanks for your reply. Since I have no issues I will leave well enough alone. It likely has not been returned to stock since the fans go on at lower temp than the usual. Car runs great. It has 37k on it. I did notice a nice change when I replaced the original plugs and wires.
