Door switch problems
I’ve got a 93 40th anniversary. I replaced the drivers door adjar switch and immediately under glove box a relay started to buzz. If I turn light switch on it will stop or opening hatch stops it. I bought a new relay thinking that was it but thr new one does it too? Should I replace the switch on passenger side door to stop this?

But with that being said, i cant see a bad switch causing a relay to buzz. Sounds like it is a different issue. But testing the switch would be an easy place to start. Was the old door ajar switch disconnected by the previous owner? If so, maybe it was due to the buzzing problem.
Matt
you Are 100 correct the 5amp fuse was blown on the panel #36. Once replaced I plugged the new relay in and the interior lights came on and no buzzing sound!!!
I Appreciate you help and to the other members it’s great to be here !!!!
Do the courtesy lights come on when you turn the dash switch? Do they come on when you open the hatch? If = NO begin by checking all fuses, including the under dash aux fuses.
The buzzing is caused by insufficient voltage at the relay. I don't have a FSM for 1993, so I can't tell you exactly which fuses are involved. But I would begin by checking all the fuses in the Inst Panel fuse box, and the under dash aux fuses. There is at least one aux box, there may be two in a 93, but I'm not certain. The aux box(es) are under the RH dash, about where the ctsy light relay is, but way up against the firewall. I know there is at least one CTSY fuse, there may be two CTSY fuses in a 93. "LCD" in the IP box is for the ctsy light relay coil.
I check fuses with my meter on DC Volts. Put one lead on ground (lighter shell is a good ground). There are 2 little holes in each fuse. Touch the meter to one, then the other hole. If that circuit is live, there should be voltage on both holes. If there is voltage on only one hole, that fuse is bad. If you place the key in RUN, almost all of the circuits will be live for testing. The few that aren't will make sense. Rear defog, htd mirror, crank. The fuses involved with the CTSY lights will all be hot at all times.
