If you don't have a spare ignition key not sure how knowing what the resistance is will help you. If you do have a spare ignition key, you can take it to the locksmith and they can read the resistance and cut it for you.

You can read the resistance yourself if you have a multimeter. A chart showing the resistance of each key was posted not too long ago so you may find it in search or maybe another member that comes along will have it. Regardless you'd have to take the ignition cylinder to locksmith so it can be rekeyed.

The dealership can get the correct trunk door or ignition key if you have the title or vin or atleast thats what they told me about a 98 camaro.
