I lost my key. Locksmith wants $600 to come to my house. I am looking at buying a VATS Delete Chip. They are telling me to find the Starter Relay and bypss it by jumping pin 87 and 30. How do I do that?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
They are telling me to find the Starter Relay in the under hood fuse box. Where is it located?
Once I find it I am suppose to pull it out of socket and on the bottom will be four numbers: 30, 87, 85, 86.
Then I am suppose to take a piece of 12 gage wire and jump 30 to 87 where relay plugs into fuse box.
I can't find the under hood fuse box???

"They" don't know what they are talking about. You can bypass the starter relay behind the info panel (jump the two heavy gauge wires) which will allow it to turn over, but VATS will keep the injectors from firing.
It might be very wise to actually confirm that VATS is still active by checking the wire down the column to it's connector. Much depends on what you find!
You lost key OR this is a recent buy of a C4 with 'no keys'!!
