95 corvette, replaced heater core and plugged everything electrical under right side of dash back in. Start car to check for leaks and now the car dies out after 5 seconds, start back up dies out again. Dash says SYS and the security light was flashing after dieing out. My key fob quit working, checked the 3 volt battery in it and it's at 2.6 volts. It intermittently works the door locks and hatch but they work real slow. What could I have done to make it not start. It was fine before the heater core. Checked everything is plugged in. I'm wondering if the security system is shutting it off. I would like to eliminate the security and chip key but was planning on doing it later. Now it's just my luck that it won't start. Good thing I didn't check the air in the tires or the hood wouldn't shut. Any ideas on what to check for and would the security shut it off after a few seconds. I don't have everything on the console plugged in and the passenger seat is out to do the carpet. I have a manual but it doesn't show anything except wiring and antenna. The fuel pump still runs for about 3 seconds after dieing out.
If you didn't disconnect your battery when you were unplugging the electrical stuff I would check fuses. You may have shorted something out. Next, I would have someone start it and I would take the gas cap off and listen for the pump to quit running or hookup a fuel pressure gage and watch it while it dies.

I have a different fuel pump, the car is supercharged, and it runs even after it dies then shuts off after a few seconds, the battery has been disconnected for months and it cranks fine and starts like always.. Would the security feature let it start then die, and like I said I have all the console wiring disconnected but I think that's all lighting. The security system is acting weird like really slow locking of doors. I'm trying to think of what's under the passenger side that could cause this since that is where I unplugged everything. There's a module but it shows a cruise control, relay center, and derm diagnostic energy reserve module.
I don't think the car would even start if there was an issue with the security system. You might just have to plug everything in and see if that fixes it.
