So I purchased a new shift boot to replace my original since the leather is quite stiff. First look at the new one and could see the quality was not quite same as original (leather not as thick). Tried to install and the leather was not flexible enough (i.e.too small) so once installed you could not move the shifter all the way in both directions. The thing almost immediately tore loose from its mounting just shifting from park to low! Must be made in China. So aggravating. Hours down drain and just reinstalled the original. Anyone else see this with shift boots?
So much junk out there. I have always said the owner of the companies that sell this stuff should try to install one themselves to judge how it works. Dan
