weatherstrip material?
replacing weatherstripping is next project on deck, as I look around (corvettecentral, rock auto...etc) I see some list one version of product as "correct latex" material and others "Usa made EPMD"... the latex version appears to be more expensive...sites describe the EPMD as more dense material? pros/cons?

Quite honestly I don’t know much about the materials, however, I changed all of my weatherstripping last spring on my ‘95 (except for the doors) and I was very happy with the product from Corvette Rubber Company. I would suggest using their kit. Sorry I cannot be more help.

The latex ones are what the factory used, they work better because they allow the glass to slide along it and seal better.
I used rubber and they worked OK. I got the cheapo ebay ones, they don't fit and thus seal perfectly.

FAUEE got it right. The latex WS is what GM and all other vehicle manufactures use. It is soft, pliable and compresses while maintaining a good seal. EPMD is a much harder and stiffer type rubber that does not perform well. Spend the extra money and get the latex stuff, you'll be sorry if you go the cheaper way.
