Default C-beam install ‘84 Vette

I’ve been trying to re-install the c-beam for the past 3 days. I’ve read everything I could find to try and find something that works, but nothing has worked. I’ve tried everything. Is there any tricks I don’t know about? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

I’ve done this more times than I can count and it still sucks every time. Install on the diff first and use a pry bar to get the rest in place. You’ll have to play around with it and move the trans around til she goes. I also trimmed part of mine to help with install.

What part are you stuck on? Do you have the C beam in place and can't get the bolts lined up? I use a solid bar with a tapered end and pound it through the hole where one bolt would go. Then I put the other bolt in and get the nut on. It also helps to grind the end of the bolt a little to shape it like a bullet. Once you get one bolt in remove the bar and pound the second bolt through.

Im stuck on trying to get the c-beam to line up. I can’t get the bolt holes lined up and I’ve tried everything. Brute force, dropping the tranny a bit lower, trying to level everything. Nothing lines up.

Raise or lower the back of the tranny. Raise or lower the nose of the differential.

Pretty sure that's what I did. Might have been a large punch?
