Transmission Shop
A buddy of mine has a 90 coupe with 300 hp to the rear wheels. Auto transmission, He wants to either get a rebuilt on his or a completely new one. He would like to have some performance modifications done to it but has no idea who would be able to do this work. So could someone recommend some shops that we could check out.

Are you looking for a local shop or a mail order company? There are countless ways of going about this. Everyone has different opinions on the subject also. For example, I would swap the trans out for a low mileage bone stock 4L80e for $500 or less and be done with it. It will easily handle 300 whp without any modification. But some people don't like the close gear ratios. Or you can spend an exorbitant amount of money having the factory trans built. Either way get a new converter while you're at it. That is probably one of the best upgrades you can get for a modded auto car.
