Default Assembly date?

I was working on my 86 yesterday when I found the date 6-26-86 scratched into the body. My cars build date was 7/86. I found it when I removed the fill door to get to the fuel pump. Has anybody else found similar things on their cars?

You can also take a look at the sticker inside the driver side door. At the top is a "born" date, month and year.

When I restored/painted my 89 vert I found lots of parts with dates and even initials by the guys that assembled it.

I will hunt for it in my 92 vert. The PO put a pair of polk audio 6.5s or something in the rear cargo area and they don't fit right. Its been on my to do list to take them out and put something proper in. My grilles are mess back there too.
