Have you seen the price of them? $199 each. As in, $400 to upgrade the headlights in a C4. I like Holley's stuff but I think they missed the mark price wise. I doubt you'll find many willing to pay that when there are other LED retrofit options that fit a C4 and cost less.
I had looked at them as an upgrade option for the terrible headlights in the 76 as well but that would be $800 to upgrade the lights in a car that is nearly never driven at night.

agree, price is insane I think it’ll drop somehow in the future I thought someone had installed a set and can share some feedback

I'd like to see some feedback from someone that's used some. They look like a great option for stock appearing upgrade in something that doesn't have retractable lights. I've got LED headlights that work very well in the 85 (for the rare occasion that I drive it in the dark) but they aren't the most attractive looking option. The Holley ones would certainly look better when the hood is up.
I wish I could find a similarly priced option (as what I've got in the 85) for the 76. You really can't see the lights when they're down so the looks matter less to me on that one.
They are a bit expensive, but I have been interested myself. I really don't like the white hotter color temp that most aftermarket LED headlights offer.
The one thing IMO that the retrobrights really have going for them is the 3k color temp in a modern high performance LED housing.
I would honestly buy them much quicker if I knew for sure that they would.plug and play with the factory high beam and fog light functionality in my 1989.
I'm curious as to what the reviews are, Summit has the Hella H4 sealed beam conversions at $100 for the pair, then add in your LED bulb choice or halogen bulb choice and you're still under $200. I have the housing with Auxbeam LED and am happy with them so far. The light spread is adequate and the brightness is much improved over stock.

Don't do this.
Get a housing has has a built in LED chip. The Morimotos are probably the overall best, but the knock offs from Amazon that claim to be osram are pretty decent. Most of the other cheaper ones, or an led bulb in a halogen housing, will suck comparatively.
I have Amazon replicas because the Morimoto were not out when I bought them. I would go Morimoto for sure if I swapped them out. Heck, if I drove more c4 more, and at night, I'd buy them anyways.
What different people may value and its worth to them depends on their goal and purpose. If it is just a different light temperature or a different bulb arrangement than the original halogen lights there are many options that will work to varying degrees. The Holley RetroBright lights are targeted for those seeking an original look - for restoration purposes with a more authentic period correct look. Other options exist if that is not the purpose and the goal of changing ones headlights is just to put light on the road ahead. Those who care a little more about an "original factory look” and how close a car looks to how it came when the car rolled off the line are less price sensitive. Being fully informed with options allows people to make decisions that fits their goals.
I installed the Holley led headlights on my complete LED conversion last fall. Due to health issues I have only driven it once after dark and wow are they bright. I prefer them over the Sylvania super bright headlights I had previously.
Thanks

Oh yeah I bought them last year from Vette Lights when he had his Black Friday sale.
35% off
I have them on my 96 and as little as I have driven at night they are a BIG improvement and DO NOT have the goofy look of some of the alternatives. The pattern is defined yet not obnoxious on both HIgh and low beam. Yes they are pricey but I really like them
Are these Holley's plug and play or do they need the resistor mod for correct fog light function?
They are easy to install. They fit the housings perfectly, and the factory wires plug in normally. On the other hand, they did require me to wire in a #168 bulb in parallel with one of the high beam lights to make the fog lights happy. Now everything works well.
The C7 style was the first LED projector headlight design introduced mid 2018. The output from the LED projector puts out less overall light than the factory HID projector.
The C8 style benefited from 3 years of LED chip development and has much improved output.
