looking to replace the convertible rear window on a 93 40th anniversary which has what looks like a zipper on it. I cant find any YouTube or other videos that I've seen before. Does anyone know where to find one? The top itself is very good, window is cloudy and corner has ripped. Zipper does not have to end piece that you pull to take apart on it that I can see Any help would be great thanks
I never saw one with zipper, they were always glued to top, and over time the glue gives out over age.
Most upholstery shop want to sell you a new top, cause I believe they don't sell the plastic by itself.
If you going with upholstery shop check a few, and remember some parts now are hard to get, with our shitty economy.
Now here is my top on 1989, with the glass window installed, don't recommended going that route 1st you need conversion kit cause they fold different with lowering, and your space you use to have is gone, cause of the window and be careful cause you don't want to break the glass. I would also find a shop that knows how to install it.
thanks for the info I thought about doing this a year or 2 ago and found a video that showed how to do it. Some of these did have zippers and I saw replacements then but cannot find now. Its my former car and close friend now owns it and trying to help him out Thanks

I bought my 89, used two years old, and belonged to large Corvette club at that time we had C4, and went to lot of cars shows, and never saw one with zipper.
My bet is a owner needed new window, and some upholstery shop replaced it with zipper, easier then glueing it.
Thanks I wanted to do this when I owned it and saw somewhere that some had these my car was a ruby red 40th ann. vert but don't assume that made a difference there is a zipper in there but doesnt have the piece where you pull to unzip it.. Maybe I'm dreaming !!!!!!!
