These days I believe there should be much better solutions. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been accomplished and posted. I imagine there's been a few very good solutions/fabrications accomplished. We just ain't seen them here! If I needed to I believe I could make myself happy if I had one in your condition. Properly terminated and if there's no insulation deterioration a 'grommet' should be easily fabricated.
I would at least install marine type heat shrink tubing over each of the Fast-On terminals.
The Marine heat shrink has adhesive on the inside diameter of the sleeve that once heated melts and makes a nice weather proof seal.
Harbor Freight sells a marine kit for short money with different heat shrink diameters.

Great idea thanks. Oem is just a piece of plastic it sure doesnt look water proof
It might be more work then you want to do, but a replacement pickup coil will come with a new plug end. I just had to replace one on my 86 Cavalier for the exact same reason, none of the other fixes were reliable. As long as you mark the distributor when you pull it out and reinstall it in exactly the same spot it is not a big deal.
This image is one for an 89, I am not sure what year your car is.
Your link I'm quite sure isn't a solution. I don't see anything wrong with your internal terminations. A simple grommet could be 'split' slipped into the opening and the wires pass through. The liquid tape or another Epoxy of sorts would seal it. I do imagine though that someone has likely 'printed' a solution for the harness grommet.
