Default What part is this?

Hey C4 gurus,

There is a wiring harness that goes from the battery to the starter in a 85. The final connection goes to this part connected directly to the engine block by the oil pan. What is this part?

On my 1985, this pieces is broken and once I have the protective cover / panel off, I can pull this thing off. So, the clip is broken, as is the plastic body of the thing itself. What is this and where do I get a new one?

Thanks in advance,

snlshow

That's the knock sensor. I believe the connector is AC Delco 12102621 and was also used as a coolant temperature switch connector. You might be able to pick up a replacement connector pigtail at a local parts store. They're also available from Summit.
