Glad you are making progress on the 96. As far as OBD2 scanners go, I would buy one that can read every module (ecm, tcm, abs). Autel makes some really advanced scanners for a reasonable price. If you have multiple GM OBD2 vehicles, waiting for the Tec2 to arrive will definitely be the way to go.
