Long story short, does anyone have an '89 that they could snap a quick picture of the wiring on the 5-pin side of the headlight actuator harness so I can match colors for the wires? Should be some combination of R/R/Y/B/W. Just need to know the order. About 20 years ago my headlight actuator module got ripped out of my car and I had to rewire the 5-pin connector side back together with a wiring harness pigtail that I bought. Well, ever since then my battery drains and when I plug it in I have hear the relays getting powered up which makes me think maybe I wired it wrong so the relays are always hot.
From an appropriate FSM as mentioned in post #2. A = YELLOW, B & E = RED, C = WHITE & D=BLACK. The connector should certainly have 'cavity' identifications. If you have the FSM 8A-102-0 will answer your questions. If you don't have an FSM drop me an email. I can help you, less expensive than eBay and most others. Delivered same day paid!
Thank you both very much. I had it wired correctly. Surprised that the relays and motors cycle when power is applied. Been chasing battery draining issues on this car forever. Going to sell it and wish I could get it figured out before I did. Oh, well, thanks again.
