C4 Shift Console for Automatic
Does anyone out there know the actual difference between a 1992-1993 Shift Console (part number 10152827) and a 1994-1996 Shift Console ( part number 10265546)?Not having luck finding the answer so I thought I would phone a friend ;-)

Looking at the photos of replacement consoles provided on corvette central for the 92-93 vs the 94-96, the later model appears to be wider on the right side from the cup holder to the right edge. Also the molded-in script (i don’t know what it says, I’d have to look on my car) to the rear of the indicator area is there on the 94-96 and not on the 92-93. This is based solely on these photos and not from my personal experience. Corvette central shows the 92-93 discontinued and the 94-96 available.

Where have you seen the 94-96 for $50? I was going to go real cheap and refinish it for $20-25 for the SEM paint. If I can get a new reproduction or refurb for $50 I’d probably do that. Cheapest I’ve seen them is like $140-150.

Search Google for "Black Rubber Automatic Shift Plate Console For 10265546 1994-1996 Corvette C4"...you will find New Old stock for $125 and up and aftermarket reproductions for $50 and up. Good luck!
