I am currently looking at a C4 for sale, it is white in color but the belt trim / rub trim (unsure of exact name) going around the center of the body is losing the white paint. It looks to be flaking off mainly on the doors and rear bumper cover, supposedly the rest of the paint is not flaking and fine.
Stopped at a reputable body shop and showed them pictures (the car is 12 hours from me) and they said that it was likely repainted at some point (no paintwork per seller or so he claims) and the trim pierces probably were not prepped correctly. They said the easist thing to do would be to purchase all new GM trim pieces, paint them correctly and R & R them.
My Question; Is paint flaking from the trim a thing with C4's from the factory?
